Serving as the External Evaluator for a Grant-Funded Initiative

A nonprofit organization receives grant funding to expand an education initiative and is required to include an independent evaluation. WEG serves as the external evaluator, working with program leadership to develop an evaluation plan aligned with the initiative’s theory of action and the funder’s reporting requirements.

Using a mixed-methods approach, we examine both implementation and outcomes—assessing how the program is delivered, the extent to which it reaches intended participants, and the outcomes participants experience. Data collection may include surveys, interviews, focus groups, program documentation, and participation data.

Findings are synthesized into clear, actionable reports that support funder reporting, program improvement, and future funding proposals, helping organizations demonstrate both accountability and impact.

Conducting a Post-Pandemic Education Landscape Analysis to Inform Future Program Development

A comprehensive landscape analysis designed to help a nonprofit with education programming understand current instructional trends, educator needs, and systemic constraints within its focus area. By integrating research synthesis with direct input from educators, the study informs the strategic design of future programming.

Strengthening Programming Through Needs Assessment and Strategic Alignment

An independent school association seeks to understand whether its programs and professional learning truly align with the evolving priorities of its member schools. Through a rigorous mixed-methods needs assessment, we help associations surface patterns, clarify gaps, and develop an evidence-informed roadmap for strengthening member support.

Evaluating the Quality and Impact of a Professional Performing Arts Organization’s Education Outreach Initiative

A mixed-methods evaluation examining how a regional performing arts organization’s K–12 outreach initiative is implemented and experienced across participating schools. The study integrates teacher and student perspectives, observational data, and program documentation to assess quality, consistency, and perceived impact.
