About Us

Wasatch Education Group (WEG) is a research-focused consulting firm that supports leaders in education organizations—including schools, nonprofits, foundations, and associations—in making high-stakes decisions with clarity and confidence. We help organizations understand their impact at multiple levels, from organization-wide strategy to division-, program-, or initiative-level efforts.

The firm was founded in response to a persistent challenge in the field: leaders are often surrounded by data and research, yet still lack a clear understanding of their impact—what is working, for whom, and why—and how that insight should inform next steps.

WEG is intentionally small and senior-led. We work as a deliberately curated team of experienced education researchers and practitioners, each with distinct and complementary strengths. We conduct original mixed-methods research and evaluation to help organizations assess impact at the scale that matters—from broad, organization-wide questions to focused examinations of specific programs, initiatives, or strategies. We also curate and synthesize high-quality academic research, and design research-based professional learning experiences that support implementation and improvement.

This integrated model allows organizations not only to access credible evidence but also to engage with it, interpret it collectively, and apply it within their specific context.

Research Designed for Your Context

WEG does not offer standardized products, subscriptions, or one-size-fits-all surveys. Our work is developed in close collaboration with each school or organization to reflect its questions, priorities, and the intangibles that make your community unique. We tailor research design, professional learning, and implementation support to your needs and the decisions you’re facing.

Across all of our work, WEG is focused on supporting thoughtful decision-making, strong implementation, and responsible use of evidence over time.

Our work is carried out by a small, senior team of researchers and practitioners with experience across teaching, school leadership, and applied research. Learn more about our team.
